Our own State Sen. Monty Mason is giving 500 backpacks to the annual Back to School event sponsored by 757 Giveback and Real People Educating Others. This event, held at Lafayette High School on Aug. 21, gets bigger every year — providing families in need with everything they need to start their kids back to school from haircuts to backpacks to school supplies and a lot more.
Let’s help fill Monty’s backpacks with school supplies:
• highlighters
• pencils and pens
• paper (wide and single-ruled)
• colored pencils
• washable markers
• 24-count crayons
• glue sticks
• composition notebooks
• scissors
• index cards
• 3-ring binders
Bring them to our HQ at 113K Palace Lane from 10 am-2 pm on Saturday, July 24.
