Do you doodle, draw or paint? We’re looking for fun, homegrown designs for our next postcard campaign, “Be an Absentee Voter.”
In this year of pandemic, we are convinced that getting our Democratic friends and neighbors to vote absentee is the best way to ensure the turnout we need to eject Trump from the White House and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
And postcards have been an extremely effective way to reach voters — just look at the remarkable number of absentee votes that Caleb Rogers was able to mobilize in his successful race for Williamsburg City Council, supported by our postcard campaign.
We’re looking for postcard designs that illustrate our message “Be an Absentee Voter” in two different categories:
- full-color drawings
- black and white “coloring-page” postcard designs that our kids and grandkids can color as they help their parents write postcards
Our PDF template is 10 x 6.67 inches, and we’ll reduce the finished drawing to fit on a 4 x 6 postcard. Drawings can be horizontal or vertical. Make sure you put our call to action — Be an Absentee Voter — somewhere in your drawing.
Here are the entry form and the drawing template. No limit on entries — just send them to WJCC Dems, PO Box 2032, Williamsburg, VA 23187-2032 or send electronically by email to email@example.com. Make sure we receive your drawing by the deadline, Friday, July 31.
Help us reach Democratic voters with imaginative, original, heartfelt artwork that will grab their attention and get them to request their absentee ballots.
